It started on a dock.

Before there was a blend, there were summers on the water. Bare feet on sun-warmed boards, bait buckets within arm's reach, and a fishing rod that was almost too big to hold. Jimmy Buffett drifted from a radio somewhere behind us while we chased blue crabs off the pilings and pulled redfish from the flats, and the best evenings closed with a sunset waterski run across glassy water.

Some of us wore the life vest. Some of us worked the reel. All of us learned early that the best days end with something fresh on the table.
